Architectural polyphony
Music is susceptible to a dual dimension: one is defined by a strict rationale, whereas the other is irregular and undetermined. My project will materialize both the metric and nonmetric relationships found in musical modes to re-interpret an architecture that, through the manipulation of form and matter, stimulates the body, the mind, and the spirit.

In music, a mode is defined as the relationship between a musical scale and particular melodic behavior. Plat’s famous lines in the third book of The Republic speaks of how ”musical modes are linked directly to the various character traits that trigger emotional behavior.
